Darren Sharper appeared in a LA courtroom on Tuesday , where a judge sentenced him to prison. Sharper pleaded no contest to charges in California of rape by use of drugs and furnishing a controlled substance.

B - BLOGGER Authorities of the Nigerian Communications Commission NCC has suspended its plan to increase data tariff on all telecommunication networks with effect from tomorrow December 1st. A statement by the commission says the suspension is to allow for further consultation by all stakeholders.

B - BLOGGER 12 people, including 11 children, lost their lives in a fire outbreak that destroyed a girls dormitory in Southern Turkey. The private dormitory housed 34 middle and high school students and is believed to be for girls who come from impoverished families in nearby villages that have no schools. Turkey's EU Affairs Minister, Omer Celik said at least twenty-two other girls were injured in the fire in the province of Adana.

B - BLOGGER A student of Fika Government Secondary School, Garba Sani, was found dead in an abandoned hostel, on the premises of the school in Yobe state.     "The student left class to urinate behind the abandoned structure around 9:00am , but was found dead later. A teacher in the school, who spoke anonymously, said the innocent student might have been forcefully dragged into the building and murdered. Some students claimed that they saw a man suspected to be the killer, who managed to scale the school fence.

Virtually all of the playing squad and coaching staff died in the incident, which also took the life of air crew and club directors.

B - BLOGGER A 24-year-old Maryland father, Robert Davidson, pleaded guilty to sexually abusing and killing his 10-week-old daughter last year. Davidson appeared in court on Monday to answer the charges of sex abuse of a minor and first-degree child abuse resulting in death in connection to the June 2015 slaying of his daughter, Aleah Thompson. The baby girl's mother, 22-year-old Lorena Thompson, pleaded guilty to neglect of a minor in July and was sentenced to five years of probation.

Saroli’s father, 51, was confirmed to be among the 76 that were understood to have lost their lives out of the 81 passengers on board.

B - BLOGGER A plane carrying Brazilian club Chapecoense to the Copa Sudamericana final crashed in Colombia on Monday night, leaving 76 dead and only five survivors. The plane was chattered in Bolivia from a small airline. The cause of the crash has not been confirmed yet though initial report claimed the plane ran out of fuel.

B - BLOGGER England sport stars turned out for the premiere of world's fastest man, Usain Bolt's new film titled ‘I Am Bolt’. The event which held at the ODEON in Leicester Square on Monday saw notable football stars like Oliver Giroud, Nacho Monroel, Hector Bellerin, Santi Cazorla, Calum Chambers (Arsenal) and their former legend Robert Pires.   Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas who hasn’t played most games this season was also seen on the red carpet, alongside Manchester City whizkid, Raheem Sterling.

B - BLOGGER The Uganda Police Defense Force and Royal guards of Kasese District, Rwenzori Of Uganda clash over the weekend left at least 55 people dead and many injured. According to Ghafla News, The clash began after the Ugandan police suspected the King of Obusinga bwa Rwenzururu Kingdom King Charles Wesley Mumbere of offering a sanctuary to separatist militia. B - BLOGGER Catholic priest and Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Emene, Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has urged the Federal government to arrest more judges that are suspected to be involved in corrupt practices. Mbaka who made the call while speaking at the thanksgiving mass to mark the Enugu State Judiciary 2016/2017 legal year at the Adoration ground, said the arrest of some judges in October by the DSS is supernatural.
